BOOK VIEWING AT THE OLA SCHOOL
Book Viewing at the Ola School
Come join the Ola School students for a viewing of the new Libri Foundation books on Friday afternoon at 1:45. Last spring the Ola Library applied for and received a grant from the Foundation for this collection of over 100 hard-cover, children’s books.
The Libri Foundation is a nationwide, non-profit organization that donates new, quality children’s books to small, rural public libraries in the United States through its Books For Children Program.
The Foundation by matching funds raised by local organizations, enables a library to obtain children’s books it could not otherwise acquire due to budgetary constrains. Local sponsors can contribute from $50 to $350, that the foundation matches at a 2 to 1 ratio. The Ola Library and the Ola Ladies Club contributed $350, thus allowing the Library to choose $1050 worth of new, quality children’s books from a list of 700 titles provided by the Foundation.
The books will also be on display through Saturday for anyone who’d like to come in on that day to see them.

FREE TO GOOD HOME!!
I have two TVs and a DVD player that I don't need or want. All are in good working order and look good.
I will be happy to give them to someone in Ola. The RCA DVD player has a remote. The Panasonic 28" TV and the Toshiba 21" TV do not have remotes. The DVD player will only go with one of the TVs. Please contact me by telephone at 584-3075, or by email at alanjacobus@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Alan
