The New Plymouth High Softball Team qualified for the State Championship that was held in Orofine this last Friday and Saturday. I am very proud of these girls. Each one of these girls played to the full extend of their ability. The played hard. On Friday, they started out playing Firth and won. Then they played Orofino and won. Saturday they played Wendell (a very good team) and won.
As it ended up, they played Wendell a second time for the championship. They WON!
After all of their hard work, these girls were like in a dream world.
For those of you who might remember Cheyenne Stallions, my granddaughter, she is a member of this team. When she is not pitching, she plays second base.

Trickster Tales from Around the World
It was a packed Hall for this delightful annual favorite. The children from Ola Elementary did a fantastic job entertaining the large audience on Friday night, May 1st. The evening ended, of course, with the traditional wrapping of the May Pole.
