REMODELING OF THE INN

The remodeling of the Inn is going well. Yesterday we moved the bar back about 2 feet (makes for a larger dance floor, ha!) and today we tore out the kitchen. Good hard days! Stop by and see the progress yourself.
Yesterday, we accomplished quite a bit on the Inn., however, all great things take time. That being said, there will be no Friday night dinner this Friday night and more than likely next. We are still serving coffee in the AM, so feel free to stop by and say hi.

Saturday, September 18

The Inn closed today at noon.
I am very happy with the progress that we made in a day.
It's exciting!

ONE YEAR AGO.......

One year ago, August 25, our quiet little community made the news. After a confidential tip, law enforcement moved in to shut down a marijuana growing operation 4 miles east of Ola. It was a successful mission as it did yield about 9,600 plants. At the time no one was arrested, however, in the past year a couple of the "gardeners" have been arrested in another area.

AUCTION DAY IN OLA!!

The auction of the estate of Bear Hampton was held Sunday afternoon. The sunny day drew a great crowd from all over. Some waited hours to bid on that one special item, some had their eyes on several, and others just came to enjoy a great day and enjoy the company of neighbors and friends. While the auction was going on, the Ola Ladies Club was serving homemade pie and lunch to earn money for church siding and the Ola Library was selling books to earn funds for the library.
I trust that Bear is happy he could bring so many people together.
