As many of you know, Alan and I have a temporary arrangement with Ellen to get the Ola Inn up and running. Time passes so quickly, that the time period will be up before we know it. That being said, would you or anyone that you know, be interested in leasing the Ola Inn? It is a fun and profitable opportunity for the right person or persons. Many thanks to our guys on the snow removal. Kent and Roger have worked endless hours on removing the enormous amounts of snow that has fallen in the last few days. We all appreciate the great job that they do!

TRUCK FIRE IN FRONT OF THE INN

Wednesday afternoon, a pickup burst into flames in front of the Ola Inn. Thanks to the quick thinking of our volunteer fireman/cook, the flames were put out immediately and without injury.

The road from High Valley to Smith's Ferry is closed.

The road is only to be used by snowmobiles,

wheeled vehicles can't get through.

FOUND---BLACK CAT

MaryLee in High Valley found an affectionate, fluffy black cat. It is quite a large black cat with a white face, chest and legs. If this is your cat or you know who it belongs to, please call MaryLee at 584-3568.

FOUND DOG

A tri-colored cow dog with a pink collar was picked up wandering High Valley Road. If this is your dog or you know who owns it, please contact the Ola Inn. 584-3737

UPDATE ON HIGH VALLEY ROAD!

Talked to the Sheriff's Department this AM

High Valley Road is open

but

it is very icy, with drifting snow!

Travel with extreme caution!!

HIGH VALLEY ROAD!!!!!

High Valley Road is extremely dangerous. Yesterday, about a mile up from the Miller residence, a truck lost its trailer. The tow truck then slid off the road trying to pull the trailer out. Some local residents in an effort to help, found themselves in harms way, one wrecking his pickup. The vehicles are still there. It is very icy!! The Sheriff's Department went up about 7:00PM to determine if the road should be closed. Throughout the night, with snow and wind, the road conditions probably have only worsened. I will try and have more information this morning or if you have information please call the Inn, 584-3737. Please be very careful!!!
