OLA LIBRARY SWEETHEART DINNER

 Great news!!
I went to see Wanda S. today. I found her sitting in a chair eating lunch. She is so much better! It's a beautiful day!
In the next couple of days, property owners within the GCFD#2 Ola Station boundary will be receiving a questionnaire. If firefighters were ever called to your home, there is certain information you can provide that could be critically important to help protect you, your home and the firefighters. Some of you own more than one property, I have tried to include enough sheets for every property, if you weren't provided enough, feel free to make a copy or give me a call (Kim@584-9030) and I'll send you more. If you have any questions give Denny a call at 584-3522. Thank you for your cooperation!!

There's a buzz around town about Emerald Forest Products is closing. Workers have told us they have been let go without pay but the owner has not yet confirmed this.
Keep an eye out on Facebook or in the Messenger Index for more details as they become available.

SWEETHEART DINNER TONIGHT!!

FUNDRAISING WALK FOR P.A.L.

Yesterday, Norma, Darcy Merritt and I participated in the fundraising walk for P.A.L. We met up with Jodi L. and Chris and their dogs and enjoyed a breezy but beautiful morning of walking followed by an informational program on how to better care for our pets. Rufus was the demo dog on proper ways to stretch muscles for an active, competitive dog. The "Love At First Walk" was well attended. Norma walked a P.A.L. dog that is available for adoption. "Red" is a delightful little dog that will be a wonderful, loyal companion for someone. Thanks again to my sponsors!

I would like to thank the Ola Ladies Club, the Ola community and the participants who shared their antique cowboy artifacts and and history. A special thanks goes to Jim Kern and the Brave Hearts band and the community who donated to the band and to the disabled veterans. The food was exceptionally good as was the "old time" music.
