"Tick" is a Blue Tick Hound. He was rescued by the P.A.L. shelter in Emmett. He was extremely thin, had really bad teeth and a large growth on his side. At first sight it would appear that Tick was much older than his 6-7 years. The first step to get Tick on the road to recovery, besides of course putting him on a good diet, was to have the growth looked at. As good luck would have it, the growth was not cancerous. Next, he needs his teeth cleaned. This is a procedure that requires him to be sedated again, but necessary for his long term good health. The veterinarian bills are adding up, but Chris at P.A.L. is certain that Tick will make someone a wonderful companion. Upon Tick's recovery he will be placed in a facility that specializes in hounds. His new, forever home will be carefully chosen by the experienced staff. This still leaves the vet bills.
