FRIDAY LIGHTENING CAUSED FIRE

GCFD#2 spent Friday battling a lightening caused fire on the Butte west of Little's corrals, aka Big Cottonwood Creek area. Thanks to an observant Bob L. the strikes were seen and the fire was called in within minutes. Both Ola and Sweet responded along with a BLM dozer, a helicopter and a retardant plane. With this quick response the fire was contained to approx. 10 acres. The location of the fire was extremely difficult to access by trucks. Thanks guys!!
