Ola had a beautiful day for its Halloween parade. The parade was led by a fire truck with sirens blasting as the Ola school children walk from the Ola Elementary School down Ola School Road then right on Main. Stopping briefly at the Ola Fire Hall for the traditional group picture, then back up to the school for small program where awards were given for costumes and pumpkin decorating. I was one of the judges this year and found out it is not an easy position to be in. All of the costumes were great and the pumpkins very creative!! Lots of fun! Trick or treating started around 6PM with approx. 17 Ola homes handing out candy including the Ola Community Hall. The Ola Hall was decorated with a grave yard, lots of spiders and a wide variety of other spooky Halloween decorations. Many thanks to the Joyce M. for organizing the decorating and to the ladies who decorated the Hall and to everyone who dropped off candy.
Created to keep the community of Ola up to date on the happenings in the area.
