OLA ROUGH STRIDERS/RELAY FOR LIFE INDEPENDENCE PICNIC

Fun for all ages!!

Grandpa watching his grandson get dunked!
The Ola Rough Striders/Relay For Life held their 3rd Annual Independence Picnic last night in Ola. Families enjoyed a beautiful evening with a picnic, games, dancing and fireworks. The games were enjoyed by all ages. There were small children games, the very popular "dunk" tank and this year Les Schwab Tires brought up the fast pitch, pitching trailer. Our local DJ played music favorites from past and present. The evening was topped off with "safe and sane" fireworks in from of the Ola Fire Hall. Many thanks to the dedicated Ola Rough Striders, it takes a lot of work to put on this event. Thank you Tom from Les Schwab for bringing up the pitching trailer and many thanks to Shane from the Gem County Sheriffs Posse for bringing up the dunk tank and setting it up. Thanks to John and Tracy at the Ola Inn for their donations of ice, ice-cream etc. At some point in our lives we will be touched by cancer. Whether it is a loved one, a friend or ourselves, we will feel the impact of this terrible disease. All monies from this picnic and other Ola Rough Striders fundraisers are donated to the American Cancer Society. If you were unable to attend but would still like to donate, make checks payable to: Relay For Life, c/oKim Newman - 22855 Sweet-Ola Highway - Ola, Idaho - 83657.
