TRAFFIC INFORMATION
Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) Crews will begin rebuilding the left-turn lane at the intersection of Idaho 44 and W. State Street Thursday morning (July 25). Drivers will be prohibited from making a left-turn from Idaho 44 onto W. State Street during the work, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. The left-turn lane will reopen by 7 p.m. Sunday (July 28).
During this closure, drivers are encouraged to access W. State Street from Eagle Road.
Motorists may expect delays during construction. Drivers should plan extra time for trips and, if possible, find an alternate route. Patience is appreciated. Safety is ITD’s number one priority. Motorists should remember to slow down, pay attention in construction zones and be aware of the safety of construction workers.
ITD began work on this project in November 2012. It’s expected that construction will be complete by this fall.
Every day approximately 19,000 motorists drive through the Idaho 44/Linder Road intersection. The improvements that ITD is making will improve safety, reduce congestion and allow for a smoother flow of traffic.
