Good afternoon! Crews continue to make excellent progress on the fire today due to slightly cooler temperatures and higher relative humidity's. The western and southern flank resources are mopping up hot spots 20-30 feet from the fire perimeter. The eastern flank (specifically Timber Butte) crews are constructing hose lays to help extinguish interior hot spots within the timbered areas.
There is a "Fire Weather Watch" over the fire area for isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Crews will be vigilant for outflow winds and showers that are associated with the predicted incoming storms.
Have a great afternoon!
Jennifer
