A while back a meeting was held at the Sweet Fire station, several of the attendees expressed interest in EMR training. We now have the go ahead to form this class to those that are still interested and anyone else that is interested in this training. This class requires 60-70 hours of class time with an approx. cost of $200 for books, background check and testing. There is a definite need for more persons trained for the Sweet/Ola area to better our EMS service. If you are interested in helping your community, please comment so we can keep you updated. We could start class as early as mid-April.

BE A HERO

Sunday, February 16

This lovely lady is Fran Hunter. She was a school teacher at Ola in 1947. When I contacted her for permission to post her picture, this was her reply:

" You may if you think it would make happy memories for Ola friends. It seems so long ago, 1947 was my 1st year to teach. Jessie Cherry was a wonderful mentor, & the Newells were a very special couple."

It is happy memories for several people in Ola. Thanks, Fran.

FUTURE WORKFORCE

These adorable puppies are just 3 weeks old but are looking forward to life on a ranch or active household.  The 2 females and 5 males, Border Collie/Blue Heeler/Australian Shepard mix will prove to be an asset, as they are eager to please and very intelligent by nature.  If you are interested in adding one of these, cute as can be, pups to your workforce, give Tammie a call at 477-9431.  Females $50.00--Males $40.00

E-MAIL FROM SPEEDYQUICK

I just received a weird e-mail from Speedyquick. For those of you that use Speedyquick and received the same e-mail, maybe be careful. The grammar is broken and the contact phone numbers are from Australia. Don't download or link anything as they request. I'll call the Speedyquick office in the AM.

Saturday afternoon, friends and family attended a memorial service at the Ola Community Hall for Shirley Wallace.  The Hall was filled with those that loved this beautiful lady, this lady that stole Charlie's heart.  The family shared a wonderful slide show of Shirley's life. Throughout the slideshow fashion and hair styles changed but Shirley's smile and beauty never did.  She will always be remembered in our Ola community.
