SPRING CONCERT 2014

Gloria's private lesson students put on a fantastic concert tonight. It's so much fun to see them start out and then progress through the years. It's no wonder they evolve to be such great musicians with Gloria as their teacher. The concert was attended by many proud family members. Here are a few students that performed tonight.

TRASH TALK

Apparently, we have to talk trash again!  The Ola Transfer Station is for household garbage ONLY.  This DOES NOT include bathtubs, lumber, broken tile, mattresses, toilets, old tv's etc.  The privilege of using the Ola Transfer Station is being abused by some and that privilege will be taken away if this happens again.  If caught dumping items other than household trash, you will no longer be able to use the Ola dumpster, you will be responsible for the disposing of your own garbage at JAG in Emmett.

Ola School students in grades 2 and 3 display books they recently completed as a Library Skills project in which they learned the parts of a book and how a book is published. Children played the roles of author, illustrator and publisher. Each book included an illustrated half-page title page, a two-page title page with title, author, illustrator, and publisher, and a copyright page. Stories written for a school assignment were divided into four parts and typed. Each part became a book page with an illustration.
As publishers, the students sewed the pages, including an end paper, together at the spine with a needle and thread. Next they glued a fabric cover and paper spine to two cardboard cover pieces. The end papers were then glued to the inside of the cardboard covers. Finally, students attached a cover picture with title, author, and illustrator to the front of the book and laminated it with a protective film.
Some students donate their books to the library. The books are entered into the collection, barcoded and shelved. You may check them out to read just like any other book.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE WONDERFUL MOMS!!!!

It is amazing our day old calf -now 4 days old was found on 2nd fork on Simplot Hill about a mile and a half from where I last saw tracks. Whoever returned him a great big Thank You. Russ

PLEASE READ!!

I just wanted to warn everyone about 2legged wolves.  I had a day old calf taken Thursday afternoon.  I had just tagged it turned and walked to the pens where I had the momma cow to turn her loose.  The calf, judging by the tracks got on the road and was picked up by someone.  I never heard or saw anything.  This all happened in less than a 10 minute time span.
I just want everyone to be aware.
